photo diary; the past week

> addicted to baking once again. received pretty positive feedbacks for the chocolate mint cupcakes i’ve baked and i’m pretty excited to continue baking, probably once every week! Next up: Cheese & Bacon Muffins







> had a feasting day where the girls and i went from Maxwell Market (laoban beancurd & chicky rice)) –> KKi for tea & cakes –> PS Cafe for fries –> Buttercake N Cream for seafood aglio olio & warm chocolate pudding. the outcome? an incredible throat.


> unwell for the past week but… turned up for work every single day. no, it’s not like i love my job that much, but i just can’t bring myself to not turn up for work cos while ill, esp if i believe i’m capable of turning up for work & make minimal mistakes. so, it makes me wonder. while i’m really ill & at work, is my colleague who took 2 days mc genuinely ill or taking time off to study for her upcoming exams?







> had the most awesome weekend. also probably cos i haven’t had an entire weekend off in so long! sometimes i really think it’s pretty unfair, but that’s besides the point & work sucks anw. i had dim sum w/ the family at one of our favorite restaurant. we were assigned the same table 4 consecutive times. starting to wonder… maybe it’s meant to be hahaha. & as part of mother’s day, for the family gathering, we prepared a stalk of carnation for all the mothers. & it was very sweet that my mum, received a cake for mother’s day inclusive of special delivery, her favorite chocolate banana cake! hahaha… thanks ll! of course, not forgetting the night ended with lotsa laughter with my dearest cousins & w/o sleep i rested for a bit before dressing up and headed for Gwen’s place for her wedding!





> Sucha pretty bride. we had a simple yet fruitful day. it was my first time as a bridesmaid/jiemei, but i learnt a lot! we made the gatecrashing simple, sweat-free, yet fun, i hope! they got in in no time, and even had to wait around for the bride who wasn’t ready but all was good. it was a long day of no sleep from the night before, but it started and ended well. they managed to source for a bunch of warm photographers, videographer, editor, etc. the wedding singers they hired, & not forgetting, the food served at the wedding lunch was pretty fab! I slept for 11 hours straight & still couldn’t recover from the fatigue. but, it was all good fun. Congratulations & happy marriage! ♥ ♥ ♥

I forgot to bring my lunch companion along to work today,
and most of my colleagues are on half day. So while I’m so
bored munching on bread (so sick of bread man), I am typing this
wondering how they baked bread and harboring the thought of finding
some good recipes and baking some hot yummy loaves after I get home
from running errands. But then again, I have to work tomorrow. How
to bake leh? Time, where are you?

Anyway, to make life more bearable at
work today, I brought along 2 treats for myself! The must-drink
Yakult and all-time-fav kinder bueno! The last you see of them
before they made their way into my tummy and vanished from the face
of the earth. MUAHAHAHA!

It’s the 30th already! Where did the whole of 2010 go to?
HALF DAY TOMORROW = SHOPPING + RUNNING ERRANDS. The Christmas season really need to end NAO! Too broke and too tired from shopping. BAAAAAHHHHHH.

Pingu!

It was Qian’s birthday a couple of days ago. We had a great plan initially but we knew we won’t be able to execute it. So… we came out with another plan of surprising her at her place. Of course, Ade and I came out with a lot of excuses to make sure everything went well, kudos to Ade, she came up with very good excuses. So… we managed to surprise her and spend the rest of the night in her room spending girly time together.

We need to spend more of such time together!!!

The weekend that just went was good in every aspect haha. Meeting up with friends and spending time with the family. It was a busy weekend for sure, but spending a lot of time with my BFF over Formula 1 rocks!

On Friday itself, I met up with Germaine for steamboat. I’ve been wanting to go there since forever. And of course, she was gamed enough to go with me for it, and the auntie working at the steamboat place took TOO GOOD care of us, we ended up over eating! After which, we had Andersons Ice Cream, which was quite a rip off, oh well!

Saturday itself, I woke up earlier than usual and spent the morning with the family, running errands and having lunch, whereby they were craving for Fish and Co, so yes, we went to Fish and Co for lunch and I swear my portion was HUGE but very satisfying. I rushed off to meet up with twinno, Clara! Haven’t met that girl in more than a year, and boy, she’s still the same old Clara I know, very frank, direct and very sarcastic. After meeting Clara, it was great bff bonding time over Formula 1, which we watched an hour of, before heading off to Suntec City for some girly time, shopping and indulging in ice cream!

Sunday was family day before meeting BFF for Formula 1 again! We had fun, more fun than the day before, but could have been better without the Auntie behind us who kept talking nonsense. She kept asking the racers to crash and so… her wish came true! So many racers crashed near the area we were sitting.

Thank you BFF for the great weekend!

No more milk tea, coffee, or any of those for me past 6.30pm! I drank gongcha’s zhenzhunaicha last night and I couldn’t sleep. So, I spent the entire night catching up on new season of gossip girl and 90210, started a new Waldo game and finished it, and made breakfast. But… I still am not feeling sleepy. :/

Milk tea do me no good.
