BATAM ’12

It’s been a while since I last went on a trip. Thankful for BFF who planned us a trip for a little getaway to an island just 45 mins away by ferry. She did all the bookings and all I did was… follow. A major hiccup for the entire trip… a massive jam from Tuas to Harborfront. It was majorly congested that day, Poppy was late to meet a client, and I was VERY late to meet my dearest BFF! But thankfully still made in time for the ferry and even had time to drop by DFS to get a bottle of ICE WINE.

Of course, I knew that our trip was gonna be no where close to productive, but I was completely fine with that, and was in the mood to chill and just relax, in our terms… N U A. We refused to join the city tour, and insisted we get off at the hotel. We checked in way before check-in time, and NUA-ed & napped while waiting for J, BFF’s friend. J and mum came to fetch us and off we went to Mega Mall at Batam Centre, first meal… A&W. Was horribly disappointed cos the machine was down and they couldn’t serve us ROOTBEER and we had no stomach-space for Waffles… We went shopping, yes shopping at the hypermart, bought a whole lot of crap :\. Then we drove to the kampung for seafood. SERIOUSLY f r e s h. O M G yummy. We even had the time to drop by J’s place to look-see-look-see, chat and whatnots, before they drove us back to our resort where we had ice wine.

Next morning saw us up earlier than expected, watched 500 days of summer, had breakfast, watched spiderman, went for a massage, watched a good life, before checking out. Went for some yummy pizza, a chat with J and mum before they drove us to the Terminal.

It was all good.

Looks forward to more travels…

it’s approachin’ my much look-forward-to month, A U G U S T ! Lookin’ forward to the upcomin’ week filled w/ after-work activities (to keep my sorrows at bay), & to a month filled w/ lotsa new experiences, bountiful shoppin’ trips, & huge amount of time bonding w/ e family.

- Quelque chose est venu dans le courrier aujourd’hui. The joy of opening mailboxes early in the morning- totally made my day cos j’aime receiving packages (online shopping packages) in the mail.
- Aujourd’hui, I brought TODAY and shared it with tout le monde. Presque étrangers totally adore TODAY newspaper. But, I didn’t manage to finish reading it cos I had something to do half way through it.
- Collected my Victoria Secrets items!
- Collected something I ordered on Sunday.
- Dîné à la Astons récemment ouvert. Thank goodness I wasn’t the one queuing to get in, heh.
- Totalement accro à Cookie Dozer that I ended up watching the cookies drop while I was in the lift going from the 2nd to 3rd level, -.- much?
- Eu une discussion avec presque étrangers , and came to much realizations
- Reconnaissants à la technologie! I managed to catch up with quite a number of friends through whatsapp, text messages, facebook and email!
- Countdown to the weekend starts tomorrow. J’adore vendredi soir, samedi, et un peu de dimanche.
- J’ai entendu un d’excellentes informations qui pourraient éventuellement marquer une super 2011. <3

I’m addicted it’s a crisis

2 months ago, I made a trip to Hong Kong with a friend of more than 10 years. It was pretty spontaneous. There were some disagreements along the planning, and we were on the verge of changing destination. But… we stuck with HK and went for a good 6 days, which after I came home to everyone insisting 6 days was too long.
